1. Of everything in your wardrobe what do you feel the most comfortable wearing? Why?
Two things (summer/winter): an old stained, ripped, threadbare, faded, tattered blue polo shirt that I’m only allowed to wear around the house and a warm thick blue roll neck sweater that just feels perfect.
2. How would you describe your style?
Do I have to pick just one? Mostly casual, but I do own cowboy boots, two Stetsons, and bow ties. It’s so depressing to wear the same thing everyday, especially when everyone else is wearing the same thing to.
3. How many pairs of shoes do you own and do you wear them all?
Eight. Yes. (Not including golf/soccer cleats and Military Footwear)
4. Where do you buy most of your clothes?
Gap, Old Navy, American Eagle.
5. What was the last piece of clothing you bought?
If running shoes don’t count it was a white dress shirt for the wedding Michelle and I went to while I was on leave.
First, I need to say that Dan, you may not be allowed to wear that blue polo out of the house, but that hasn't stopped you in the past!!
1. Of everything in your wardrobe what do you feel the most comfortable wearing? Why?
I have a red sleep shirt (on of those huge t-shirt type things) that has the Tasmanian Devil on it dressed as Santa Claus. He is carrying a bag of toys that has "APO NY" stamped on it, and surrounding the picture are the words "Froeliche Weinachten" the German words for Merry Christmas. It is so comfortable and it is now about 15 years old. I think it was bought at the shoppette at Campbell Barracks in Heidelberg. Did I just date myself or what????
2. How would you describe your style?
It has evolved numerous times over the years. At this point, my style is based on my own comfort.
3. How many pairs of shoes do you own and do you wear them all?
Are you kidding? I have NO IDEA how many pairs of shoes I own. I try to wear them all, but I probably don't. Of course, being here in Iraq, I wear the same ones everyday......even though I have 3 other pairs of boots to choose from! I LOVE SHOES........just call me Imelda!
4. Where do you buy most of your clothes?
Ross Dress for Less, Marshall's, Old Navy, and Target. I love a bargain!
5. What was the last piece of clothing you bought?
Well, I just placed a huge order of neccessity clothes (jeans, t-shirts, sweaters) from Old Navy.com for Mike and I so that we aren't wandering around Europe on our R&R leave in our desert camoflage uniforms. That wouldn't be cool. :)
I also must comment on the polo shirt--Agnes has been scolding Dan about that shirt since I have known him...we are coming up on 10 YEARS together...so if it was unpresentable 10 years ago, imagine what it looks like now! Of course, nothing beats your favorite shirt! I think it's kinda cute...
1. Of everything in your wardrobe what do you feel the most comfortable wearing? Why?
My ripped jeans, and Dan's Mary Washington sweatshirt given to him by Jesse, who tried unsuccessfully to get Dan to give it back because it is the best sweatshirt ever. nana-nana-booboo, you can't have it =)
Previously I would have answered that my Army sweatpants were my favorite article of clothing, formerly known by my roommates as the "second skins" because I wore them so much. They were so long you could tuck your feet in and wear them as slippers. When we got married, Dan and I would fight over who got to wear them. Unfortunately, they were demolished by our dear cousin Moxie. It was a sad, sad day, but we still keep the tattered parts out of fondness. This is why you should not leave your clothes laying on the floor.
2. How would you describe your style?
Definitely not crazy preppy like so many of my classmates--I didn't know people like that existed in real life. There are people here who wear polo shirts WITH THE COLLARS TURNED UP with jean jackets also WITH THE COLLARS UP, with pearls. Don't forget, you must have your sunglasses on top of your head at all times AND brown leather flip flops or some sort of boat shoes. Oh and if you're a girl, you should really carry one of those canvas totes from LLBean with your monogram stitched on the side. And if you're a boy, nautical themed shorts are a plus...you know with lobsters printed all over them or a belt with green whales on it. Better yet, wear them together. If I only had a camera phone, you would be amazed at the pictures I could capture! It's a great source of entertainment.
3. How many pairs of shoes do you own and do you wear them all?
Somehow I feel this question was directed at me. =) Gotta go with Margaret on this one. I own lots and lots of shoes. I do not wear them all so I have recently made a pact to buy fewer pairs of better quality shoes. Someday I will own lots of pairs of better quality shoes!!
4. Where do you buy most of your clothes?
I hate to be repetitive but I also shop at Old Navy and Gap, sometimes Express, Limited, Target, wherever. Definitely TJ Maxx and Marshalls for dresses. I DO NOT shop at American Eagle. Dan is a sucker for spending too much money on clothes that already look like they are 10 years old and wrinkled. It's very cool, you know. He is redeemed by the fact that he usually buys them all on sale after Christmas.
5. What was the last piece of clothing you bought?
A dress from Express, also for Kristin's wedding.
I forgot about T.J. Maxx!! Where you get the MAX for the MINIMUM! I've been here too long.
